About Kason Haby:

Kason Haby, his wife Katie, and their two daughters, Kenedy (10) and Kollins (7), reside in Hondo, TX. Kason grew up in Uvalde, Texas, and has had a lifelong passion for the outdoors, particularly hunting and livestock management. He graduated in 2006 from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Rangeland Ecology and Management and a Minor in Wildlife and Fisheries. Kason has been a Certified Professional in Range Management since 2013.

From 2007 to 2023, Kason served as a Rangeland Management Specialist with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), assisting landowners throughout the Edwards Plateau, South Texas, and other regions to meet their land management goals and navigate federal cost-share programs. In 2023, he founded Heritage Land Stewards to continue his mission of helping landowners run profitable and sustainable operations.

Kason serves as a Regional Steward for the Texas Agricultural Land Trust, working with landowners on conservation easements and those pursuing such agreements. He also provides technical guidance as a Regional Technical Assistance Specialist for the Texas Grazing Land Coalition. In addition to managing his cow/calf operation, Kason volunteers with the Medina County Farm Bureau, the Edwards Region Grazing Land Coalition, and the Society for Range Management.
